8-10 weeks total. One match per week during Swiss format (6-8 weeks), then knockout playoffs for top teams (2 weeks).

All matches are best of 3 sets. Matches are typically played within a 90-minute court booking.
🔄 Rescheduling
2 reschedules per team. Request by Wed 23:59. Makeup by next Wed 23:59.
👥 Substitutes
2 substitutes per team during league stage. Admin approval required. No subs in playoffs.

1 League Structure & Format
Swiss Format: The league uses a Swiss tournament format where teams are paired based on their current standings and performance.
Round Structure:
- Each round lasts one week (Monday to Sunday)
 - New rounds generated every Monday morning
 - Round 1 starts on Monday, November 17, 2025
 - One match per round against different opponents
 
Pairing System:
- Teams paired by similar records (wins/losses)
 - No repeat opponents in league stage
 - Byes given if odd number of teams
 
2 Team & Free Agent Registration
Team Registration:
- Register as a complete team (2 players)
 - Provide team name, both players' info
 - Player 2 must confirm via SMS/WhatsApp link
 - Admin reviews and confirms registration
 
Free Agent Registration:

3 Match Scheduling & Deadlines
Weekly Timeline:
- Monday 9AM: New round generated
 - Mon-Sun: Coordinate and play match
 - Sunday 23:59: Match deadline
 
Booking Process:
- Team A proposes date/time
 - Team B confirms or suggests different time
 - Coordinate via WhatsApp/phone first
 - Can schedule any day Monday-Sunday

If not completed, automatic walkover awarded
4 Match Format & Scoring
Match Format:
- Best of 3 sets
 - Standard padel scoring (games to 6, tie-break at 6-6)
 - Win by 2 sets (e.g., 6-4, 6-3 or 6-4, 3-6, 6-2)
 
Court Booking:
- Typical booking: 90 minutes
 - May extend if court available
 - Arrive 10 minutes early for warm-up
 
Equipment:
- Bring your own paddle
 - Balls provided by venue
 - Appropriate court shoes required
 
5 Reschedule Policy
Allowance:
- 2 reschedules per team for entire league
 - No reschedules in playoffs
 - Tracked per team, not per match

Reschedule Window:
- Only Monday-Wednesday of following week
 - Thursday-Sunday not available

- Will play 2 matches in one week
 - Makeup match + regular match
 - Both count towards standings
 
6 Substitute Player Policy
Allowance:
- 2 substitutes during league stage
 - No subs in playoffs
 - Tracked per team
 
Requirements:
- Provide sub's name, phone, email
 - Admin approval required before match
 - Submit in advance (not day of match)
 
Email Notifications:
- Request: All 3 parties notified (P1, P2, Sub)
 - Approval: All 3 receive confirmation
 - Denial: All 3 receive notice
 
Restrictions:
- Can't be registered players on other teams
 - Same sub can be used multiple times
 - Both members can't be subbed same match
 
7 Score Submission & Confirmation
Submission Process:
- Winning team submits score first
 - Enter from your team's perspective
 - Format: Set 1, Set 2, Set 3 (if played)
 - Example: Won 6-4, 6-3, enter exactly that
 
Confirmation:
- Opponent notified to confirm score
 - They see result with winner and score
 - One-click to approve
 - Can click "Dispute" if incorrect
 
Disputed Scores:
- Admin notified immediately
 - Admin contacts both teams to resolve
 - Admin enters correct score after verification
 - Match stays "pending" until resolved
 
Stats Update:
- Once confirmed, stats auto-update
 - Team standings: wins, losses, sets, games, points
 - Individual player stats updated
 - Leaderboards update in real-time
 
8 Standings & Rankings
Ranking Criteria (in order):
- Points: Win=3, Draw=1, Loss=0
 - Head-to-Head: If tied on points
 - Set Difference: Sets won - sets lost
 - Game Difference: Games won - games lost
 - Sets Won: Total sets won
 - Games Won: Total games won
 
Leaderboards:
- Team Leaderboard: Overall rankings
 - Player Leaderboard: Individual stats
 - Auto-update after each confirmed match
 - Separate stats tabs for detailed analysis
 
Playoff Qualification:
- Top teams qualify (number based on total teams)
 - Format announced after league completion
 - Tiebreakers follow criteria above
 
9 Walkovers & No-Shows
Automatic walkovers for:
- Regular match not done by Sunday 23:59
 - Makeup match not done by Wednesday 23:59
 
Walkover Score:
- Default: 6-0, 6-0 to ready team
 - Full 3 points to walkover winner
 - Stats auto-update (2 sets, 12 games)
 
Admin Override:
- Can reverse in emergency situations
 - Must be genuine emergency only
 - Contact admin immediately if emergency
 
10 Fair Play & Conduct
Expected Behavior:
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship
 - Respect opponents and officials
 - Call lines honestly and fairly
 - Be punctual for scheduled matches
 
Prohibited Conduct:
- Unsportsmanlike behavior
 - Verbal abuse or intimidation
 - Intentional cheating
 - Equipment abuse
 
Violations:
- Warning for first offense
 - Point penalty for repeated offense
 - Match forfeit for serious violations
 - League suspension for extreme cases
 
11 Disputes & Resolution
Resolution Process:
- Try to resolve amicably between teams first
 - If unresolved, contact league admin
 - Admin reviews evidence from both sides
 - Admin makes final decision
 
Types of Disputes:
- Score disagreements
 - Match scheduling conflicts
 - Conduct violations
 - Rule interpretation questions
 
Evidence Needed:
- Screenshots of communications
 - Witness statements if available
 - Match photos/videos if relevant
 - Clear description of the issue
